Mental Mission: What Kind of Fat are you Eating?

June 1st, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

This week I want you to think about fats.  You’re going to be reading labels searching for trans fat anyway, so why not consider what kinds of fat you eat (saturated, unsaturated, poly-mono-etc) and how much?  We’ll look at another kind of good fat next week (Omega 3s), and go even further into the subject in the fall.  For now, just get thinking.

An update:  I managed to list 13 reasons I love glass containers last week.  Of course, I dropped one out of the cupboard since then.  Other than a massive crash that brought everyone in the house to see what happened, all was well.  AND I thought of two more things I love about glass!

  1. They don’t melt when I accidentally open the toaster oven door onto them.
  2. I don’t worry about bacteria hiding in the scratch marks like I do with plastic.  Bring on the raw chicken to marinate!
