Announcing a Baby/Toddler Shoe Giveaway – Bugaloo

June 4th, 2009 · 85 Comments · Uncategorized

My daughter wears these shoes every day, all day, inside and out (until she started walking so much outside in the pine sap pit that is our backyard…).  I can’t begin to laud the praises of the soft soled leather baby shoe!

I started with shoes on both my kids at about 6 months, which goes against the norm since they weren’t walking yet.  Wonder why?

They keep socks on!

Babes can’t get the elastic leather shoes off, therefore they cannot pull their socks off.  And the socks can’t fall off in the grocery store or all over your house.  And the child’s feet are warmer, which is important in Michigan winters.

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m leaving the kitchen for a moment tonight. I’m pretty sure many to most of my readers are moms, and we can’t spend all our time in the kitchens!  We have to clothe and discipline our little ones.  I’m here to help with that first one.

Bugaloo Kids Shoes are my new favorite item.  When my son was born, I read all the research that told me soft shoes were the way to go.  They let baby’s feet feel the ground beneath.  There’s less tripping because there’s no hard sole to trip on.  They allow baby’s foot to develop properly because nothing is pushing awkwardly on the foot.

Of course, I bought some.  You can find leather ones online for $30 and more, but I went to Target and spent about $14 on synthetic.  My son wore them constantly from 6 months to 18 months or so, and then another pair after that as slippers in the house.  When my daughter was born, I was thrilled to have stumbled across BugalooThe shoes are real leather, made by a real mom, super cute designs, and they’re only about $20.  Well worth every penny.

I’m even more thrilled to be able to share Bugaloo with you.  I wanted my first giveaway to be something I really believed in and that was worth winning.  I’ll leave the kitchen for that!  Here’s what you can do to win one pair of Bugaloo shoes:

Click on over to Bugaloo and check out their cute styles.  Click the link “Why Bugaloo Rocks” to read more details, including how easy they are to wash.  Choose the shoes you want to win and leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite.  Just in case you aren’t the lucky winner, be sure to start a cart with your favorites (what a great baby shower gift!) and go back next week to complete the order.

See below for ways to get more entries…
GIVEAWAY CLOSED.

I have to admit, I also wanted to do this giveaway so I could shamelessly include cute pics of my little lovey. What mom doesn’t want other people to “Oooo” and “Ahhh” over their kids?!  Here’s a taste of Bugaloo shoes at our house:

How great are these shoes? Lovey Girl's little friend is trying to get them! (But they don't come off - Yes!!)
