My husband just bought me a freezer in Dec. I am so enjoying cooking again because of this motivator! He was amazed at how quickly I have (almost) filled it. It's a small chest freezer, but in two weeks I filled it about 2/3 full. :-)
Enjoying reading your freezer tips.

Great inspiration--we're in the process of emptying our freezer to clean it out. But after that, we need a strategic plan like this to have it really work for our family. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm so saving your blog! I've been doing some freezer cooking myself lately, just to get ahead of things, and I'm on the low end of the totem poll!

These tips are awesome. They make sense too. I almost always have cooked meat- chicken and pork, in the freezer and that really helps me with last minute meals. I do need to clean out my freezer and be a bit more organized so that I can make extra of meals we love and will eat and then freeze them.

Thanks for sharing. I am bookmarking this post for future reference.

Those are so awesome! I LIVE for the day when I can replace my kitchen appliances with ones that work better, so I can do more cooking!

I've only recently begun cooking in bulk with the specific intention of freezing extras for future meals. One of my favorite things to freeze for a quick meal is the chicken mixture for enchiladas. All I have to do is defrost it, wrap it in the tortillas, add sauce and cheese, and bake. I love it!
