		<description>Hi Katie.  I just made these homemade baked beans for our family 4th of July cookout.  They were a hit!

I used a 1/2 pound of pastured pork sausage (you could substitute turkey or chicken sausage) instead of bacon.  I used my homemade ketchup, and evaporated cane juice instead of brown sugar.  

I was short a bit on navy beans, so I threw in a few kidney and lima beans to make up the difference.  :)  It&#039;s a long process, but they were great!
