During my research for the Packing a Reduced Waste Lunch post, I came across some really cool products. One of them was Lunch Skins, sealable cloth bags that can even go in the dishwasher. I’m excited to announce that 3 Green Moms is blessing one of my readers with a set of two Lunch Skins reusable sacks (snack and sandwich sizes). If reducing your waste is important to you AND avoiding plastics, you’ll love these bags. They’re doggone cute, too.
Read more about them at 3 Green Moms, and choose your favorite pattern while you’re there. Then leave a comment at this post telling me what you discovered and you’ll be entered to win! (If you receive KS via email, you will need to click over to the site to leave a comment.) If you’d like more chances, obtain extra entries by doing the following. I love the pink polka dot snack size. Perfect for my 4 y.o.’s preschool snacks.
Great selection of sandwich and snack bags that I look forward to checking out. Love the lizards, sharks and polka dots.
And the friends I told about KS were equally excited about the reusable lunch bags.
These products look wonderful! I’d love to win the watermelon print.
I think my son would really like the animal print, but my daughter would like the fruit. Hmm. One of each?
Maybe you can help me. I’m looking for a way to send 1/2 cup of hot veggies in my kids lunches. (they’re not fans of raw veggies) Got any ideas?

Unfinished Mom,
For keeping things hot, the only thing I know of is a thermos. Another reader mentioned she loves something called a “Funtainer”. Might be worth googling, because it sounds like they may be smaller. (?) Definitely heat the veggies on the stovetop or in a toaster oven, b/c microwaved vegs really lose their heat fast.
Would they eat cold cooked veggies, maybe with melted cheese? Different folks have different tolerances for cold food. My son used to eat cold leftover veggies no problem. Worth a try!
Also, do you ever try raw veggies with really good dips? Sometimes that will get kids to eat raw vegs better.
The final way would be to make soups and send in a thermos.
Best of luck!
Katie
I like the Pink Watermelons.
Love the green sandwich skin bud pattern. I also love their vision for a greener world , by getting rid of the plastic baggies.
I subscribed today! Thanks for hosting the giveaway. This looks like a really cool product.
Oh, and I love the watermelon pattern, and the blue shark.
I love the fruit lunch skins. I found this site and post too late to do any of the other things, so just one entry for me. I will definately be back!
