Research has shown that the same chemicals put in Lactaid to allow you to digest the milk are already found in raw milk.  The milk loses this enzyme (lactase) when it is pasteurized.  If you can get raw milk (which only comes full fat), I would really suggest it.  I&#039;ve struggled with lactose intolerance my whole life, but I don&#039;t have problems with the raw milk.

I didn&#039;t know what to do.  In the end, I bought the fat free, thinking that the one without the fillers was probably better.</description>

Maybe starting with other forms of diary, other than straight milk, and working from there? Does he like 1/2%? I&#039;m guessing you can slowly acclimate his taste buds to whole. I was a skim milk girl, too, but I just had a sip of some recently and literally had to spit it out. Blech. I&#039;m totally used to the creaminess of whole now! Good luck! :) Katie</description>

I have within the last few weeks found a source through a food co-op for local unhomogenized milk from cows that are grass-fed and organically raised for only $4/gallon. I&#039;m elated! It&#039;s a little weird seeing the teeny little yellow cream specks floating in it but it tastes GREAT! I think I&#039;m going to try to start getting some raw milk here and there soon AND make my own yogurt. This all makes me so happy!!!</description>
