The new recipe that just came out is for a mango confetti salsa which is healthy too, I just sprinkle a bit of real chili powder on it rather than the PC rub as their rubs have corn syrup, etc. in them.

One of the new recipes featured with Pampered chef this season is a Mexican Chicken Napoleon. I changed it a bit and use pastured roasted chicken (pick the meat off the bone), I cook my own beans from dry beans and use a good mayo (or homemade) and then I cook it on the stovetop and pop it in the oven rather than in the microwave. I serve it with organic tortilla chips rather than stacking it (although that is nice too, just a lot more work). My family loves this dinner, very tasty and very healthy. I used a local raw colby cheese but any organic cheese would be yummy.

I also like the loaded baked potato soup recipe, I cook it in the oven rather than the microwave and use our raw whole milk (although you are cooking it..still better milk, I don't buy store milk). My daughter and I love this creamy, cheesy soup!! I don't do it often as we don't eat a lot of white potatoes, but it is yummy. Obviously, I use all organic and best quality ingredients and full fat, not low fat.

I am a real foodie too and a PC consultant, I always tell my customers ways to make things healthier. Many of the recipes are very much able to be changed to be real food appropriate and those that aren't are just ones I disregard when choosing ones to give to my hosts.

Rebecca,
Thanks for visiting! If you throw one, share it with us! (Other than these ideas, I'm not sure what else I'd serve at a Real Food party...) :) Katie

Lisa,

I'm so glad my li'l old menu plan could help you out! If the bread can be warm from the oven, it's awesome and makes your house smell SUPER. ;) Katie

This is such a great idea! I was thinking how a TF-themed Pampered Chef party would be a great idea the other day as I was using my Pampered Chef covered glass measuring cup/bowl for soaking grains or making sourdough (I use it for both). Sounds like fun, hope your party was fun!

I came over from Nourishing Kitchen and want to thank you for the great party ideas! Our house is one stop on the neighborhood's progressive Christmas party next week and I'm looking for easy and inexpensive, along with healthy, food ideas. Our house is stocked with healthy foods bought on a low-ish budget and it's hard to fit party foods in on top of that. Thanks! Most of these things can be made with items I normally buy, and even more impressive I think the neighbors will like to eat all of them. Thanks!
