Advent Daily Dose: The Little Lord Jesus, Asleep on the Hay

December 18th, 2009 · No Comments · Prayerful Kitchen

Advent Daily Dose ButtonHow’s your hay?  We are one week away from Christmas, and rather than getting caught up in counting the shopping days we have left, I need to focus on the days for hay-gathering.  It’s time to recommit to making little acts of sacrifice, kindness and generosity each day of Advent.  To give gifts to the Infant Jesus out of pure love for Him and His Children (three of which live in my home and deserve my utmost every day).  I always start to slack off on my good intentions halfway through a season like Advent or Lent, so now is a great time to renew my fervor for giving with seven days to be more pleasing to Jesus.

I want to make a soft bed of hay for Him to sleep on when He comes to us next Friday!
