Two Big Winners (or am I Seeing Double?)

June 3rd, 2011 · 2 Comments · Uncategorized

It’s an exciting day for a couple of KS readers.

I get to announce the one winner for the Royal Berkey system and another winner for the Fertility Flower one-year membership.

*canned game show voice coming*

But wait, there’s more!

Jeff "the Berkey Guy" was so impressed with the big response to the filter giveaway that he wanted to reward a few more people. I also pulled TWO more names to receive a free Berkey Sport filtered water bottle (which you will love, trust me!). Woot! Thanks, Jeff!

imageJeff also has a special deal just for KS readers interested in a Berkey sport bottle – if you head to his site by clicking here you’ll get a $5 discount.

Be sure to give LPC Survival a visit in gratitude for Jeff sponsoring this great giveaway, check out the Berkey options for your family, and take a peek at the long-term emergency storage solutions (that never need to be rotated). He strives to find food with the fewest preservatives/GMOs/yucky stuff possible, apt for our real food preparedness series (although I won’t say they’re actually real food, just better than most MREs).

I’m also very pleased to have worked with Kimberly at Fertility Flower all last month. She sponsored the entire site for the month of May so you all didn’t have to look at so many different ads – wasn’t that nice of her? Winking smile I’ve been appreciating the depth of theological, ethical, and environmental discussion at the post she sponsored this week: Why I Choose Natural Family Planning. Have you seen it yet?

Enough Chit Chat…Who Won?

I know, you’re dying to know the low-down. Here we go…

Out of 148 people and 500 total entries, the one-year membership to thefertility flower new 300 Fertility Flower software is:

Charissa Shull

(since this is an online membership, I have already sent Kimberly your email and you don’t have to do anything to redeem the prize)

As I mentioned, the Berkey giveaway was pretty popular. I’m excited that you all want to improve your water quality. (Me, too! Can’t wait until we find "that perfect house" and Jeff can send mine this way! He was trying to convince me I could just get it now, but I think my husband would kick me to the curb, so I’m practicing my patience…) Winking smile

There were a total of 3005 entries in the giveaway from 940 different people. Berkey-Square-Banner2Wowzers! The one lucky girl is…

Laurie Williams

(Congrats! Please email me with your address and phone number for ordering.)

If you’re not Laurie, don’t despair. Here come two more, chosen from the 940, not the 3005 (if it matters to ya):

Beth Noordmans and Deirdre Hopkins

will have a fun Berkey sport bottle coming their way! Please email me your contact info as well, ladies. Thanks!

If you’re feeling bummed that you didn’t win anything today, I can give you something for free, too. Winking smile Make sure you sign up for the KS newsletter (once monthly, nothing overwhelming) and grab your free copy of Is Your Flour Wet? a soaked grains eBook with over 40 soaked, sprouted or sourdough recipes from a bunch of bloggers. It’s 85 pages of yummy goodness!

As far as upcoming giveaways, watch in June for a great one from Redmond Clay, a new sponsor this month, as well as a really random Katie-esque moving giveaway with a few fun items I’ve received to review and don’t use anymore.

Have a lovely weekend, dear readers!
