You know KS is all about the baby steps.
When a reader shared her 20 steps to creating an emergency 72-hour evacuation kit, to be done one per week, I thought it was just perfect for our community. As a little gift to you at the close of the preparedness series, I’ll share the steps one week at a time.
Every Monday morning, you’ll get a new assignment on the Kitchen Stewardship Facebook page. You do NOT have to be registered for Facebook to view the KS page; just click right HERE and see what’s happening. Of course, if you are on Facebook, go ahead and click “like” while you’re there so the updates show up in your news feed.
The first one starts today, so if you’re interested in following the 20-week process (or just copying them into a document on your computer for a later date), be sure to take a peek!
UPDATE: I’ve posted the entire list as a Monday Mission. Find the Bug Out Bag checklist for your convenience.
Make sure you don’t miss the last post of the series, the massive list of preparedness resources, including all the real food solutions and even a WAPFer who sells quality preparedness foods.
Facebook Might be Blocking Your Favorite Blogs
Speaking of Facebook…
A few months ago, Facebook made some upgrades that included a new “filter” on your friend feed. I don’t exactly know how this works, but I know that some people stopped seeing my updates in their feed or news feed. If you thought you were following me but haven’t seen anything (or very much) new in a while, you’re probably affected. I do share something a few times a day, sometimes about my kids or my life, sometimes an oldie but a goodie from the archives, and sometimes an interesting news story or weird question I think up. You don’t want to miss this stuff!
This post should explain how to fix the problem.
(I was never sure how to address this, by the way – what’s the irony that I’d prefer to share something about Facebook on the FB page, but those affected wouldn’t see the tip!? ARG!)
Enjoy the prepping tips, and have a lovely week!
The Monday Mission, on safe sunscreen, is coming in a bit…
