Happy Birthday, KS!

The official birthday (aka "blogoversary") of Kitchen Stewardship passed last Sunday, but because of the Eat Well, Spend Less series and Ash Wednesday, it wasn’t the right week to throw a party. This week, however, is fabulous. Winking smile

I just tallied up the nine giveaways I’ll be running this week, and we’re talking a total of about $1900 in prizes to my lovely readers! I’m rather excited. Dark chocolate for everyone would be the only better option.

However.

I know some of you probably don’t love giveaways. You don’t want to take the time to enter, or you feel like you’ve always had an unlucky streak and just won’t win anyway.

I hate to think that I’ll lose you for the week.

Feel free to take a break and come back next week, but I might also encourage those of you who don’t want to enter to make this a "skimming" week, because I do love connecting you with favorite brands, small businesses, and products that can make your life as a kitchen steward easier, more delicious, or just more fun.

I’m tempted to spill the beans on who’s participating this week, but I’m not going to ruin the suspense.

Let’s just say that we’ll see a few old favorites who have been around a long time, some amazing baby gear, one mentioned before and lauded often on Facebook and one new item (with a $400 price tag!), and some new and very yummy companies, including convenience real food for when you’re in a pinch and can’t make your own and even our family’s new fluoride free, from-the-earth toothpaste.

I can’t wait.

I’m off to write up some of the posts for the week, and I’ll also be sending my monthly newsletter tonight. I always try to feature some new information in the newsletter that is not on the blog, something that makes it worth the (small) space it takes up in your inbox. Tonight’s topic is what to eat when you find yourself grazing through the kitchen…not that I do that every hour or anything (ahem).

The KS monthly is also a great way to keep up on the best posts of the month, in case you get behind or miss a few (What? You mean you don’t read every verbose word I write? Gasp!) You can sign up here, and you’ll also get the 85-page soaked grains recipe eBook, absolutely free upon activation.
