You don’t get anything in the mail, and if you want to take them into your kitchen without getting flour or honey on your keyboard (excuse me while I get my finger unstuck from my page down key…), you have to print the recipes yourself on your printer.
Believe me, figuring out how to set the price for a book that’s a real book, yet not a real book, was always the most difficult part of the whole process.
I’ve seen many eBooks priced in the $20 range, most of which are the length of mine or shorter. Try to buy something about blogging online and you’ll likely pay closer to $50. (Except Nikki’s book on blogging and taxes for only $5.)
I realized that I would have a problem paying that much for something I can’t even hold onto, so I’m dropping my prices on eBooks, permanently.

The Everything Beans Book and Smart Sweets have been $9.95 since publishing – both are about 90 pages long and include 30 official recipes plus many variations. Both are now reduced to $8.95.
Today is also the one-year birthday of The Everything Beans Book, so through Sunday night, I’m offering a sale for half off the new price – only $4.50! Use the code ONEYEAR50 for the discount, right HERE.
All this in the midst of the 3rd blogoversary celebratory giveaways! Have you checked them out yet? Almost $1800 in free stuff flying out of KS this week, and lots of interesting products to peruse even if you’re not a giveaway-entering type…

This is a great bargain! I have the beans book and I really love it! It will save you tons of money if you do nothing more than get inspired to start soaking/cooking/freezing your own beans.

Does the beans cookbook include sprouting information too? I’d like to sprout and soak. Thanks for making this great offer!

Megan,
Katie
Yes, it does. In fact, I am editing it for the Kindle, and it reminded ME to get a big batch of lentils sprouting, cook and freeze them for whenever I need them. I had gotten out of the sprouting habit entirely!

Thanks, Katie! I’ve been watching for a half-price sale for awhile now to purchase this book. Looking forward to putting it to good use!

Alrighty then, this would explain why I never received the book I purchased from you. I’ve been watching the mailbox when I should be looking to download. Thanks for the information.

Whoops, Charlotte Clermont Gridley! If you have trouble finding the download link (Paypal email address) or dislike the fact that it’s an ebook, email me and I’ll make it right. TU!

I am a little overwhelmed at your thoughtfulness regarding the prices. I have thought that the prices on most of the blogs I follow have been pretty reasonable, but there have been times when I have silently muttered in my head as I tried printing manually two sided pages, that refuse to print properly, that I wished there were a hard copy already available because sometimes the frustration is not worth even $1. But, that would be because of my dumb ol printer, not the e-book.
I do have a question about the beans book though. I love beans, as does my daughter, but my husband won’t intentionally eat them (he doesn’t know that sometimes I puree them to “hide” them in food (shhhhh!)- but its hard to find things I can do that with. Does the beans book offer any tips on this, or recipes that essentially do that? Thanks!

Amy,
There is a section “for the bean haters” and a few recipes that hide them, such as the free download pasta sauce (http://www.kitchenstewardship.com/2011/01/21/sneak-preview-of-the-everything-beans-book-free-download-pasta-with-white-bean-sauce/)
Thanks! Katie

I bought the book when you had it for the 3 dollar sale. We are in the process of adopting a 3 year old, 2 year old and 6 month old. I’ve really been trying to work on increasing the nutrition of the 2 year old especially since he is kinda stubborn and would rather go hungry than be made to feel like he has to eat something.
So far I have made the Southwestern Pot Pie, the White Cheesey Chicken Chili, and the Pasta with White Bean Sauce. He has loved them all. They are too spicy for the 3 year old however for the white sauce, I completely left out the onion and peppers and he loved it. Yay for good nutrition for the kiddos! I thought about giving some of the white sauce to the baby but figured I’d better hold out another few months.
