Kitchen Stewardship | A Baby Steps Approach to Balanced Nutrition

Time Savers and Added Bonus

timesaverTime Savers

Who doesn’t love to save time?  Being a good steward of your family’s nutrition and the environment often, it is true, takes more time than running to McDonald’s for dinner or buying the cheapest, quick-and-easy meals at the store.  However, I’m here to prove to you that you CAN do it and still have time to enjoy your family and honor your God. Watch for the timesaver icon to find shortcuts, quick methods, and even sometimes, (glory be to God!), a whole process that is quicker “Kitchen Stewardship Style” than the cultural norm.

Don’t you just love when you make a catalog or online order and the company throws in a free gift?  Or when you go to complete a task on your “to-do” list, only to find that it’s already been accomplished?  It’s like having the gift of time handed to you.  Unexpected benefits of a Monday Mission are like this, too.  Train yourself to get excited when you see the “Added Bonus” icon! This will signify a little treat that can make accepting (especially the difficult) Monday Missions easier on you.

Example:  an added bonus of cooking leftover pizza in the toaster oven vs. the microwave is crispier, tastier pizza!
