Recipe Connection: Lazy French Fries or Potato Chips in Beef Tallow or Coconut Oil

November 13th, 2009 · 15 Comments · Do It Yourself, Fat Full Fall, recipes

Recipe Connection: Soaked 100% Whole Grain Pancakes (Camping Variation)

September 8th, 2009 · 31 Comments · Avoiding Waste, Do It Yourself, KS lifestyle, recipes

One of my goals last winter was to find our family’s “go-to” pancake recipe.  We had pancakes we enjoyed, but I never had a standard, don’t-even-have-to-think-about-it recipe that I could grab…well…without thinking, you know?  If you have some of these recipes in your cache, you’ll know how reassuring it is.
It was important to me that [...]

Effective Homemade Deodorant: My Baby Steps Story

I told you Wednesday when we talked about hazards of antiperspirants that I considered making a baby step away from antiperspirant last December.  I have used Degree for years, because many other name brands didn’t work for me.  I’m not a dainty little lady who doesn’t sweat!
It was Christmas break, and I’m an at-home-mom, so [...]
