I’m Katie Kimball, two-time TEDx speaker, and creator of the Wall Street Journal-recommended kids cooking course, Kids Cook Real Food.
I’m the chief mess-maker here at Kitchen Stewardship and work-in-progress mom of 4 on a mission to help families stay healthy without going crazy.
I’ve been on the real food and natural living journey since 2005, at first encountering frustration after frustration as time and budget pressures competed with my health goals for my family.
I’ve learned a LOT since then, and my teacher heart can’t help but share with others!
Here at Kitchen Stewardship®, I serve people who struggle to juggle it all. It’s my joy to bring my experience to the virtual table to help other women (and men) achieve balance. I’ll give you the tools to have more real food in your kitchen and tips for sustainable living, while sprinkling in time for fun.
I’m not perfect – but I believe moms can take action on healthy living knowledge…one baby step at a time.

We Don’t Yell Here…
…but we speak loudly and don’t compromise what’s right.
If you’ve found yourself yearning for respectful conversations with people who don’t get offended so easily, you’re in the right place.
Kitchen Stewardship has ALWAYS been a place where we’re not afraid to go against the flow of culture. To be a real foodie, to push against modern medicine, and to live as a Roman Catholic, I knew I had to.
I raise my kids to be resilient, and I want yours to be too. Let’s collaborate on figuring out the best path for our families through research and conversation – without yelling.

The foundation of Kitchen Stewardship requires the ability to think beyond what’s popular, and that skill isn’t only for adults. I had the great honor of giving a TEDx talk on critical thinking in children to help raise up good Kitchen Stewards for the next generation!
Parents often believe that critical thinking skills should wait until the tween or teen years, but I believe we need to lay foundations like curiosity, adaptability, and resilience as young as possible.
Critical thinking has never been in shorter supply, and we desperately need more people tapping into their ability to ask questions and make thoughtful choices.
If your values include caring for the environment, seeking natural ways to keep your body healthy, building strong families, and/or freedom to make medical choices, you need to hear this:
After HUNDREDS of brutally honest product reviews…
…are you curious what I use in real life?
When I’m introduced on podcasts, here’s what fancy hosts say about me:

Her blog, Kitchen Stewardshiphelps families stay healthy without going crazy, and she’s on a mission to connect families around healthy food, raise critical thinking skills using the lab of curiosity that is the kitchen, and grow the Kids’ Meal Revolution where every child learns to cook.
