I’m just popping in with a quick note – a Yummy one.
A Yummly one, actually. 😉
I’d like to introduce you to Yummly, which I’m just getting the hang of, but I love the concept already.
It’s a little like Pinterest or a recipe box, but with the quality of a good friend who knows what you like.
You tell Yummly what kind of food you like to eat, and it also learns what your preferences are as you “Yum” recipes…and it shows you recipes that fit your personal tastes.
Love spicy food? Jalapenos on your horizon.
Dairy intolerant? You won’t be shown recipes with milk.
Paleo? See you later, whole wheat bread showing up in my feed.
You can search Yummly for recipes or ingredients you’re interested in, and your results are tailored to what you like to eat.
It’s like your own personal chef (minus the whole making of the food part, darn)!
I’d be super honored if you’d make Kitchen Stewardship recipes some of the first that you “Yum,” as we try our darndest here to post the yummiest foods! 😉
You can find all the recipes already “yummed” from KS right HERE, but you can also hover over any photo on the site and click the orange “Yum” button that will hover in the center. Find your favorite recipes and start to teach Yummly how to show you what you want to eat!
Plus, if you visit that page, you’ll see all the newest KS pictures first, and if I may say so myself, I’ve been working hard on my food photography and it finally shows! (Now to go make some humble pie to make up for that…)
I know there are more cool features to Yummly that I haven’t discovered yet – I’d love to hear how you’re using it!
