Have you noticed “subscription boxes” are all the rage nowadays?
It seems like a new one is popping up every day – from razors to clothing, from gluten-free snack assortments to just jerky.
There’s even a site that lists over 1500 of them to choose from! #overwhelm
I don’t have any subscriptions to “stuff” myself. I feel like most of the boxes I see are geared more toward young professionals who have more money than time or who are looking to treat themselves to a fun, unique surprise – and as a mom of 4, I’m all about being practical.
I’m so pumped to offer you a practical “boxy thing” this week from MightyNest, the online shop I trust for our eco-friendly kitchen supplies. The shelf in my kitchen that is overflowing with the most MightyNest items is for sure my lunch packing supply area.
We’ve got stainless steel water bottles and bento-style lunch containers, thermoses, single-serve snack bowls, reusable bags and even the lunchbox itself – all found at MightyNest.
The team at MightyNest is committed to helping you take the baby steps challenge, the true foundation of Kitchen Stewardship. Their MightyFix subscription is totally, truly, practical. And they’re offering a lunch thing!! Contain your excitement while you read, people, this is a good one!
Why Get Fixed?
The MightyFix is a powerful little way to make small changes without even having to think about it. And rather than the extravagance of most subscriptions, every item is something you can truly use in your home, something sustainable and eco-friendly. It may be the catalyst you need to make one more change, one step toward better stewardship, every month.
An automated baby step!
You’re guaranteed to get an item worth more than the cost of your subscription, plus you get free shipping (and can add anything else you like to your order, which is another one of my favorite parts – seriously, nothing gets in my craw more than paying shipping when I need something!).
This is a subscription box that eschews extravagance and expense in favor of practicality and value – it hits it out of park for regular families!
MightyNest is rewarding Kitchen Stewardship readers with the best. item. ever.
It’s a stainless steel bento box!
If you’ve ever shopped stainless steel lunch containers, you know they feel SO pricey, especially compared to their plastic counterparts.
But let me tell you: The quality and longevity is worth it. I was just remarking to my husband and mom last week on our visit home about how long we’ve had our stainless steel containers (almost 7 years for some of them!) and they’re all just as good as new.
Compare that to plastic leftover containers that are constantly cracking, both the lids and the containers, and it’s quick to see how investing $15 in one container will eventually pay you back. PLUS you avoid the health risks of plastic, AND (the best part) they go in to the dishwasher and come out dry, without water captured in those annoying plastic rims.
I love stainless steel containers.
Now you can get a box that retails for $14.99 (plus usually $5.95 shipping) for…
…wait for it…
Use the button below (new subscribers only) to claim this incredible offer (even my Canadian friends!):
Clicking the button will automatically add the box to your cart and give you the promo price after you choose one month or one year for the MightyFix.
It’s the best MightyFix ever! Not because the others are boring by any means, but because I can get so jazzed up about this one – it’s such a great deal on a product that you can use all the time and that will last forever. Even if I had a few lunch containers already (and I do), I’d still be jumping at this one.
The details on the bento box:
- CPSIA tested safe
- 100% #304 Food Grade Stainless Steel
- Non-leaching – no chemical, no toxins, no taste
- Dishwasher safe
- Resistant to stains and corrosion
- Holds 26 ounces (about a cup and a half)
- Not recommended for liquids
We have the circular version of this product already, and it’s very easy to use, very durable, and great for lunches. While I use glass containers all the time at home for leftovers, they’re just too heavy (and breakable) to send to school.
But I don’t want to send plastic with my kids because of potential leaching and how often plastic breaks, too! Stainless steel is the best alternative, and I’m so geeked to give you a chance to try one without the big dollar investment.
I reviewed quite a few bento lunch boxes a few years ago (and will be updating this review in the next few weeks with more!) and our favorites, Lunchbots, are also available at MightyNest.
Details on how MightyFix works:
- Click this link to have the discount automatically applied to your cart. You’re guaranteed to get the stainless steel bento for 75% off! (New subscribers only.)
- Choose the full year MightyFix or the $10 for one month version – either will take $5 off automatically and give you free shipping. (The MightyFix item is guaranteed to always be worth more than $10.)
- Choose your school and MightyNest will give back 15% of your purchase. Every month!
- Fill out your payment information and your new stainless steel box will be on its way!
- Watch for future MightyFix boxes, once a month, and don’t forget to add anything else you need to your order (like dishsoap, lunchboxes, baking supplies – or a new divided bento from Lunchbots!) to take advantage of the free shipping.
- You can be a subscriber for as long or short as makes sense for you; there’s no mandatory subscription period. The MightyFix is available in Canada too, which I know will make many of my northern friends happy as they are often left out of stuff like this! Woo hoo!
MightyNest is a Human Company
One of my favorite parts about blogging is interacting with real people who work for great small businesses like MightyNest.
This week, they did something very special for one of my KS team members who is reeling from a new diagnosis of Celiac. She has to clear all gluten from her kitchen, where she used to grind her own wheat and bake homemade bread, muffins, pancakes and more. That means she has to replace everything plastic, wooden, or that has grooves in it that may harbor a rogue speck of wheat flour: all her pots, pans, cutting boards, plastic containers, bakeware… It’s a monumental task and expense.
I asked MightyNest if they’d send a few things as a little love note to her, and they stepped up within hours with muffin tins and some snack containers for her kids.
I’m honored to work with MightyNest and to introduce them to you, too. A huge thank you to them for their gifts, both to my team member and for you guys, to help you put one little thing on auto-pilot so you can green up your home without even thinking about it.
Enjoy your Fix!
