Description

Our whole family loves this healthy air fryer recipe for dinner!


Ingredients

Salmon Mixture:

  • 26 oz. cans of boneless skinless salmon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. quick oats
  • 1/4 c. avocado oil mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. unrefined sea salt (Use the code kitchenstewardship for 15% off of your first purchase)
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried dillweed
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt

Coating:

  • 1/2 c. sorghum or brown rice flour
  • 1/4 tsp. unrefined sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. dried dillweed
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium-size bowl mix the salmon mixture ingredients until well-combined.
  2. In a small bowl mix the coating ingredients.
  3. Scoop 2-3 Tbsp. of the salmon mixture and roll into a ball.
  4. Roll the ball in the coating mixture until thoroughly covered. Gently flatten into a pattie.
  5. Repeat this process with the remaining mixture.
  6. Heat the Air Fryer to 375-degrees F with the insert. Allow to heat for 3 minutes.
  7. Remove the basket and place as many salmon patties that will fit on the insert.
  8. Insert the basket and cook for 5 minutes.
  9. Flip the salmon patties and cook for another 4 minutes. Transfer to a serving dish.
  10. Repeat until all of the salmon cakes are cooked.
  11. Serve immediately with tartar sauce, mayonnaise, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

You can easily scale this recipe for a larger batch. Each 6 oz. can of salmon makes about 6 salmon cakes.
