This nutrient-packed smoothie makes a great breakfast for kids!


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups frozen, chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup chicken or turkey broth

  • 2 tsp. lard, butter, or tallow (optional)
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup

  • 1 capsule probiotic (2 servings)
  • 1/2 tsp. desiccated liver
  • 1 tsp. vitamin C (see resources page for varieties)
  • 1/2 tsp. fermented kale and/or aquatic greens (chlorella and spirulina)
  • 3/4 cups water (or a combination of water and milk)

Instructions

  1. Simmer the spinach in the broth, lard, and salt in a pan for 3 – 4 minutes.
  2. Place the spinach mixture and the remaining ingredients into the blender.
  3. Blend on high until smooth.
