GIVEAWAY: Biokleen Green Cleaners Package

November 23rd, 2009 · 80 Comments · Uncategorized

biokleen dish powderI’ve been excited about this giveaway ever since it was set up months ago.  The winner gets to choose four – FOUR! – products from the Biokleen website, one from each of the four categories of Kitchen, General, Laundry, and Soyblends.

I got even more excited when I began to test Biokleen’s products and found that they all (except one) were top quality and definitely something I wanted to share with my readers.

Please start by reading my Biokleen product review and the fascinating apple wash test for Biokleen produce wash.  When you’re ready to win some great, green cleaners, come on back here.

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS FOR ENTERING!  WINNER ANNOUNCED MONDAY, DECEMBER 7TH.

Enter To Win!

Time to go shopping!  Choose a product from each category and tell me in the comments what you’re pining for:

(If you receive KS via email, you will need to click over to the site to leave a comment.) If you’d like more chances, obtain extra entries by doing the following.  You may leave all the entries in one comment and I’ll sort them out!

  1. Mandatory entry: Tell me your Biokleen wish list.
  2. Subscribe in a reader or via email to Kitchen Stewardship (or tell me if you already do).
  3. Share with us: What do you already do to “green up” your cleaning? (Or, what do you want to do next?)
  4. If you have a blog or website, post about this giveaway linking back to this post.
  5. What’s your favorite Monday Mission or Recipe?  Just tell me in the comment and I’ll give you an extra entry.
  6. Follow me on Twitter AND Tweet about the giveaway (just click the button at the top of this post).
  7. Stumble or Digg this post (you can use the “Share This!” icon at the bottom of the post).
  8. Email 5 friends (who don’t already read Kitchen Stewardship) about the giveaway.
  9. Stumble or Digg your favorite post or recipe at Kitchen Stewardship.  (What is Stumble?)
  10. Quiz time: What did you learn during the Fat Full Fall?

Be sure to tell me everything you did in your comment.  There are a possible 10 entries!  If you can handle completing all 10, I’ll give you a bonus entry just for being perseverant (but tell me if you do in your comment so I’m not up counting all night). If you don’t have a blog, I’ll still give you the bonus if you complete the other 9.  I still trust the honor system.  Just be honest about what you’ve done – giveaways should be fun!

I will use random.org’s integer generator to choose the commenters who win from my list of commenter emails.  The giveaway is only open to U.S. residents.  Entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, December 4th, and I’ll post the winners by the following Monday.

If you missed the last Monday Mission, click here.

Kitchen Stewardship is dedicated to balancing God’s gifts of time, health, earth and money.  If you feel called to such a mission, read more at Mission, Method, and Mary and Martha Moments.

I would love the automatic dish detergent, the oxygen bleach, Bac-Out Stain & Odor Eliminator, and the Citrus Soy Solvent.

I just added you to my google reader–and haven’t stopped pouring over your blog for days!!

I have been greening up for about 2 years. We have eliminated paper, use the 2 bottles and a box method of cleaning :) , use planet liquid dish soap, make my own veggie wash, make my own laundry powder, and am looking forward to trying out some of the automatic dish detergent (the last of our non green cleaning products!)

Laundry – all temperature Citrus liquid
Kitchen – the automatic dishwasher powder
General – super concentrated all purpose degreaser and cleaner
Soy products – soy cream cleaner

    I already follow your blog.

    I tweeted!

For greening up our cleaning, we’re using vinegar instead of fabric softener, and hydrogen peroxide as an all-purpose antiseptic. Would LOVE to get chemical free dishwasher stuff because we run our dishwasher 3 times a day (or more).

I’ve really enjoyed your natural oils and fats posts.

I’ve just found your blog via SimpleMom and have spent hours reading just now! Thanks for all of the information you have available :) Tonight I made your homemade D.O. (which I had been researching for some time) and can’t wait to try it out in the morning.

1)My top 4 picks would be:
    -CHLORINE FREE OXYGEN BLEACH PLUS
    -LEMON THYME DISHWASH LIQUID
-CITRUS ESSENCE BAC-OUT MULTI-SURFACE FLOOR CLEANER
    -SOY TOILET SCRUB

    2) I now subscribe via Google Reader

    3) We don’t use paper towel towels or paper napkins-we’re all cloth, we make our own laundry soap and D.O., and we clean with vinegar.

    5) I’ve been reading how you make your yogurt and plan to try it this week.

    Thanks again!

Great giveaway! I’ll start with #1 and #3:
I’d love to try the laundry liquid, produce wash, and toilet scrub. I am already a frequent user of the bac-out and love it! To green my cleaning, we clean with mainly baking soda and vinegar. I also use citrasolv for my concentrated all-purpose cleaner because I love the citrus smell in my house. Paper towels have been a thing of the past and we clean with washable rags.

Wonderful post about biokleen veggie wash. I just got it myself.

    1. A:Free & Clear Laundry Liquid
    B. Lemon Thyme Dishwash Liquid
    C. Super Concentrated All Purpose Cleaner & Degreaser
    D. Soy Cream Cleaner

    2. Subscribed!

    3. I use & like Greenworks, it smells great & works fine for light cleaning. Looks like biokleen products would be much better!

I recently found you thru Food Renegade & like what I’ve read so far!

    10. Transfat is bad for you. Omega 3’s are good for you. They come from fish & flax seed oil. Saturated fat is needed by the body & not linked to making you fat.

    1. Free and clear laundry powder, Automatic dish powder, ammonia free glass cleaner, Soy toilet scrub.

    5. Favorite Monday Mission: so many to choose! I go back to Safe(r) Plastics and Dirty dozen produce all the time.

    1. Most of these products I’d probably use just for the scent even if they weren’t green! I’d like to try out:

    - the Oxygen Bleach for my cloth diapers
    - the lemon thyme dishwashing liquid
    - the Bac-out floor cleaner
    - soy toilet scrub

    2. I am an email subscriber.

    3. I have ordered the Shaklee H2 cleaner to green up my clean routine after my daughter slipped on my freshly Mr-Cleaned floors and I had to give he an emergency bath to get it off her skin. If it’s not safe for her to touch when it’s in the bottle, why should I trust it on her bare feet on the floor?

    4. May fave MM is coconut oil. I ordered it from your supplier, and have completely switched from refined oils!

    5. I think the most interesting thing I learned during Full fat fall is that saturated plant fats are not the same biochemically as saturated animal fats.

I’d like to try the citrus laundry liquid, automatic dish gel, ammonia free glass cleaner and soy cream cleaner.

I am most curious about the dish gel. I’m looking for a dish gel that does as good a job as the harsher, not as good for the environment, cleaners. ; )

    1. SO many good choices!
Laundry: Citrus All Temp Laundry Liquid
    Kitchen: Produce Wash
General: Spray & Wipe All Purpose
    Soy – Soy Toilet Scrub.
    2. I subscribe via Google Reader
    3. I am working towards being greener, but right now, I use Soap Nut Liquid for Laundry, Vinegar for fabric softener, and microfiber towels to cut down on paper towel use in the kitchen.
    4. You are on the blog! thesenneffs.blogspot.com
    5. My favorite Monday Mission was making yogurt. I’m not quite there, but looking forward to trying to make my own soon!
    7. I tried the “Share This!” icon but am not sure if it worked :/
    10. I learned that I have so much left to learn about when/how to use what oil

Thanks for all of your great ideas!

1)cold water formula laundry liquid, bac-out stain remover, powered dishwasher detergent, soy toilet scrub

    2) favorite recipe=cornbread; it’s the one I use the most from here, although I’d love to see that chocolate chip cookie recipe

3)I use mostly water and vinegar to clean, and I would like to try soap-nuts next. Actually, these products would fill some holes in my green cleaning routine

    1) Hand-moisturizing dish cleaner (we don’t have a working dishwasher)
    Cold water laundry liquid
    Lavender-lime bac out bath cleaner
    Soy cream cleaner

    2) I subscribed via google reader

    3) I make a lot of homemade cleaners with essential oils, vinegar, and baking soda. I have a bathtub cleaner that works pretty well; I used it when I was pregnant, but a premade cleaner would be good to try! I also use vinegar in the laundry as a rinse for softening clothes and getting out smells.

I’d like to come back and do more entries later if I have time. :)
