GIVEAWAY: Biokleen Green Cleaners Package

November 23rd, 2009 · 83 Comments · Uncategorized

biokleen dish powderI’ve been excited about this giveaway ever since it was set up months ago.  The winner gets to choose four – FOUR! – products from the Biokleen website, one from each of the four categories of Kitchen, General, Laundry, and Soyblends.

I got even more excited when I began to test Biokleen’s products and found that they all (except one) were top quality and definitely something I wanted to share with my readers.

Please start by reading my Biokleen product review and the fascinating apple wash test for Biokleen produce wash.  When you’re ready to win some great, green cleaners, come on back here.

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS FOR ENTERING!  WINNER ANNOUNCED MONDAY, DECEMBER 7TH.

Enter To Win!

Time to go shopping!  Choose a product from each category and tell me in the comments what you’re pining for:

(If you receive KS via email, you will need to click over to the site to leave a comment.) If you’d like more chances, obtain extra entries by doing the following.  You may leave all the entries in one comment and I’ll sort them out!

  1. Mandatory entry: Tell me your Biokleen wish list.
  2. Subscribe in a reader or via email to Kitchen Stewardship (or tell me if you already do).
  3. Share with us: What do you already do to “green up” your cleaning? (Or, what do you want to do next?)
  4. If you have a blog or website, post about this giveaway linking back to this post.
  5. What’s your favorite Monday Mission or Recipe?  Just tell me in the comment and I’ll give you an extra entry.
  6. Follow me on Twitter AND Tweet about the giveaway (just click the button at the top of this post).
  7. Stumble or Digg this post (you can use the “Share This!” icon at the bottom of the post).
  8. Email 5 friends (who don’t already read Kitchen Stewardship) about the giveaway.
  9. Stumble or Digg your favorite post or recipe at Kitchen Stewardship.  (What is Stumble?)
  10. Quiz time: What did you learn during the Fat Full Fall?

Be sure to tell me everything you did in your comment.  There are a possible 10 entries!  If you can handle completing all 10, I’ll give you a bonus entry just for being perseverant (but tell me if you do in your comment so I’m not up counting all night). If you don’t have a blog, I’ll still give you the bonus if you complete the other 9.  I still trust the honor system.  Just be honest about what you’ve done – giveaways should be fun!

I will use random.org’s integer generator to choose the commenters who win from my list of commenter emails.  The giveaway is only open to U.S. residents.  Entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, December 4th, and I’ll post the winners by the following Monday.

If you missed the last Monday Mission, click here.

Kitchen Stewardship is dedicated to balancing God’s gifts of time, health, earth and money.  If you feel called to such a mission, read more at Mission, Method, and Mary and Martha Moments.

What a great giveaway! I want just about everything. :) Let me try to narrow it down.

Laundry – either the free & clear laundry liquid or the oxygen bleach.

    Kitchen – automatic dish powder

General – floor cleaner. Or bathroom cleaner

Soy Blends – soy lube. Or maybe toilet cleaner

Maybe it’s best if I don’t win. Too tough a decision. But I’ll try my best to pick just one if I do win. Thanks for the opportunity!

    2. I subscribe in Google Reader
    3. To “green up” my cleaning, I use rags from old shirts instead of paper towels and a vinegar/water spray as an all-purpose cleaner.

    1. I would pick bac-out stain remover, the automatic dish powder, soy cream cleaner, and the oxygen bleach.
    2. I subscribe
    3. I like good old baking soda and vinegar for many uses, (but could occasionally use a notching up – like when I wait too long in between cleanings :) The kids really enjoy helping clean the tub and the like with this too, I mean who wouldn’t?)
    5. Still coasting on one bowl pumpkin muffins as a favorite (as are the family and church members I’ve made them for)
    10. I learned in Fat Full Fall that fast food fries, until mid 80′s, were fried in a mostly tallow mix! And I’ve developed a desire to make some homemade with tallow – I mean what could taste better? Much less to a pregnant woman!
So I guess that is a total of 5 entries.
    Thanks for another great giveaway!

    - have gotten rid of bleach, make laundry detergent and use simple green, vinegar & baking soda in most other cleaning

(oh and just a note on the dishsoap – I have one by Ecover, got at local natural food soap, and I am liking it, priced reasonable and I think it does a good job)

    10. I learned to be less afraid of animal fats, and now I leave some of the fat in my chicken soup. I’m also using olive oil and butter more than canola oil.

    6) I follow you (camelfam) and tweeted.

    1. I would like : cold water formula laundry, Bac Out stain and odor remover for general, the produce wash or the hand moisterizing dish liquid for kitchen. The soy is hard because I am super sensitive to soy products so I am not sure any of them would work for me? If I chose one it would probably be the toilet scrub.
    2. I stumbled on your site and decided to join via email.
    3. I am planning to CD my baby (I’m expecting #4) and I keep my butter wrappers for greasing pans, and I am looking into being more natural when it comes to um… feminine processes.
I am so new to your site that I haven’t done any of the Monday thingies, but I am looking forward to learning about the whole animal fats gig because my husband is a hunter/gatherer type man. Also, curious about the ghee, and a lot else. Everything decently and in order though, one step at a time, don’t want to get overwhelmed.
I emailed some friends. Sorry, not a tweeter.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to win this stuff. I would be happy if this was my ‘somewhere to start’ !

    3. I have been loving the scouring powder from Tammy’s Recipes! Started using it several months ago, and it does work well, especially for baths and sinks.

    5. Favorite mission would probably have to be the handwashing/anti-bacterial soap one–something I’ve wanted to be better about, but hadn’t gone “whole-hog.”

    10. I learned soooo much about coconut oil–I didn’t even know it could be solid and liquid!

    2. I subscribe via e-mail
    3. I use vinegar and water for floors, straight vinegar squirted into toilet bowl, baking soda to remove tough spots on stove top, etc. Still trying to let go of the old stand-by toxic cleaners.
    4. No blog
    5. Recipe for Veggie Bean Burritos and the tortillas
    6 – 9 None
    10. I always wondered where canola oil came from. It just appeared as the so-called better choice than corn oil which was the so-called better choice over vegetable oil. Now I know. Thank you.
    That makes 5 entries.
    Thanks for the opportunity!

i’ve greened up in so many ways in the past three or four months, including:
    (one entry!)

i switched to cloth bags, napkins, diapers, cleaning rags, feminine products. no more paper towels or napkins.
