Mineral Sunscreen Review: Sweetsation Therapy Sunscreen

Looking for a reef-safe sunscreen that uses only zinc oxide as an active ingredient? You’re making a smart choice!

Natural Mineral Sunscreens that are good but not great. Over 100 brands tested by one family.

My family has tested over 100 natural mineral sunscreens over the last 10 years, so we know what really works. This brand is pretty good, but in my opinion, if you’re looking for the cleanest ingredients and smoothest application, then head over to my ultimate guide to natural mineral sunscreens and grab one of my top recommended zinc oxide sunscreens instead. My standards are really high though, so this one is still pretty good. 🙂

You can read all the details below to find out why this safe sunscreen brand did not make my top recommended list.

Over SIXTY Natural Sunscreen Reviews (updated every year) - Which One is Right For You? Find the very safest that won't make you look like Casper the Friendly Ghost or be super annoying to apply. Price: 2017 price estimate: ~$47-$49 (3.5 oz.) ~$21-$23 (3.5 oz. – baby) ~$6-14/ounce
EWG rating: 2
SPF: 30+
Active ingredient(s): zinc oxide (6.5%), titanium dioxide (2.5%)
Antioxidants added: Vitamin E and more
Where to purchase: online retailers
Ease of application: Very simple, creamy and brown (baby)
Scent: Mmmm, smells like chocolate! (baby); smells flowery and almost powdery, definitely a female scent (sunsi’belle)
Water resistant? Not sure
My experience: I just had a little sample of these two options, so I admit I didn’t test it as thoroughly as some of the others. The scents are fabulous and they’re very creamy and easy to apply. They rub in well and form a visible barrier, and no one who used it got burned. My sister-in-law liked it a lot! For our family, the high cost would be a bit prohibitive, however.
Star Feature: Sun*Si’Belle helps prevent skin breakouts on face, and who can argue with a product that smells like chocolate? 🙂
