It’s become an ethical dilemma about whether I should even offer the giveaway, since our family didn’t have a good experience and I disagree with the sugar added and the potentially hazardous plastic containers. Read the full details on my product review.
I personally will continue making my homemade yogurt and using it exclusively for my kiddos. Although I don’t use organic milk, if I did, homemade would still be less expensive (by far) than these cups. I like being able to avoid the sugar, but if I didn’t have time to make homemade yogurt, I see the value of having organic, unhomogenized dairy for babies. Their little bodies are sooo susceptible to pesticides, hormones and antibiotics. (Oh, Mommy guilt for not making my yogurt with organic, unhomogenized milk!!)
I figure there have to be many families out there who DO buy Yobaby yogurt, and more who would like to if they could afford it. So I would still like to offer the opportunity to two readers to win some free stuff:
- 3 free Yobaby yogurt packs (coupons), a bib and a bowl/spoon set from Stonyfield Farms
- 2 free Yobaby yogurt packs (coupons)

You can decide for yourself how it tastes! If it were me, I’d find the “Simply Plain” yogurt, because that is full of goodness and really healthy. If nothing else, maybe the giveaway tempted some people to read the information about number 6 plastics who would not have had the chance otherwise.
GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment at this post. If you’d like more chances, you can get up to 11 entries by doing the following and leaving a separate comment for each task completed (different than last time):
- Subscribe in a reader or via email to Kitchen Stewardship (or tell me if you already do).
- If you have a blog or website, post about this giveaway linking back to this post (TWO entries for this one – leave a comment with the link plus another comment).
- Tweet about it.
- Write about it on Facebook.
- Stumble or Digg this post.
- Email 5 friends (who don’t already read Kitchen Stewardship) about the giveaway.
- Choose your favorite Monday Mission (click here for a list) and email the link to 5 friends (can be the same 5 as above).
- Stumble or Digg your favorite post or recipe at Kitchen Stewardship.
Be sure to tell me everything you did in your comment. There are a possible 10 entries! If you can handle completing all 10, I’ll give you a bonus entry just for being perseverant (but tell me if you do in another comment so I’m not up counting all night).
I still trust the honor system. Just be honest about what you’ve done – giveaways should be fun! I will use random.org’s integer generator to choose the commenters who win (by comment number – this is why you leave one comment for each task completed). The giveaway is only open to U.S. residents. Entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. EST on Thursday, July 9th, and I’ll post the winners the following day when Lovey Girl and Buddy Boy allow it!
Kitchen Stewardship is dedicated to balancing God’s gifts of time, health, earth and money. If you feel called to such a mission, read more at Mission, Method, and Mary and Martha Moments.

I feel bad entering after your post about the sugar, however, my children love this yogurt and it is one of the only kinds they will eat.

Hey, I’ll enter! It’s way better than the kind of yogurt I’m currently buying. Someday I’d like to make my own, though.

I use the yobaby yogurt for my starter for homemade yogurt. Then I have the sugar in it divided over 1/2 gallon of yogurt. I’m not thrilled about the #6, though. Maybe I’ll use the adult whole milk yogurt instead. Is it also non-homogenized??
Interesting about the sugar in Yo Baby. I’ve only tried it twice, when the kid yogurt we usually get is sold out, and my toddler doesn’t like it. I think it’s a consistency thing, since her usual stuff is thicker. I’m actually going to give my leftovers to one of my mom’s group moms whose babies will ACTUALLY eat it!

My baby loves it and I tasted it and it has very less sugar . Its a little pricy though
